About Beulah Bly

Beulah Bly is the dream business of it's founder Megan Redding. It's named after her great-grandmother who was a remarkable southern Appalachian native. Beulah was an educated mountain farmer in a time when rural mountain folk had very little education, and she left a legacy of kindness, determination, and self betterment. We endeavor to honor that legacy by capturing memorable equines and equestrian events, and providing quality homestead lifestyle photography to western North Carolina.

About the Founder

Beulah Bly is a one woman show! I'm Megan and I've founded Beulah Bly so that I could put my talent and passion for photography to work. I believe quality real estate photography is essential to giving realtors and property mangers an edge in the digital age. I'm also a passionate horse-person who doesn't really know when to quit taking pictures of horses when I see them.

For the Homesteader

For the homesteader, I want to partner with you to create beautiful images that you can treasure for years to come of your homestead. You know how much work has gone into creating your unique lifestyle, but you might feel like you don't have the time to capture the beauty you see growing around you. That's where I come in. Whether you'd like to create a memory coffee table book of your farm, or just some great pictures for your business, website, or advertising, I want to help tell your story! Contact me and let's set up an appointment to discuss your vision!

For the Equestrian

Competitions/Horse Shows

For the individual/horse show parent, contact me and let's chat about following your special equestrian around on show day! Photography is about telling a story and I thoroughly enjoy telling show day stories both in and out of the ring.

For the show barn/trainer, if your clients or clients' families would like pictures from an upcoming show let's chat! I'm open to hanging out around your show day set up and making sure to follow identified riders/horses while they're in the show ring. My job is to capture the day in pictures. Your job is to enjoy the experience and support your rider! The pictures can be for the riders and their families and they can also be used for advertising for your barn.

Equine Portrait Photography

This has to be some of my favorite photography, particularly black background photography. While I won't make any guarantees, I will capture a few candid shots of you holding your horse. If you like them, great! If not , no worries. Check out the equestrian section of the website to see some examples of my black background equine portraits.
